THE case against Durban businessman Thoshan Panday, who was arrested and charged for alleged tax fraud of more than R7 million early last month, was adjourned after he failed to appear in court. TO CRACK down on the notorious drug trade in Phoenix, police have stepped away from the conventional methods and are using undercover agents to infiltrate the drug dens. On Monday, after months of investigation, an infamous drug syndicate operating next to a primary school in Phoenix was busted. THE Bloemfontein High Court has ruled that two husbands can use the surnames of their wives, after it found that a section of the Births and Registration Act was discriminatory on the grounds of gender.
