ALONGSIDE Lucid and Kia, Subaru chose the LA Auto Show to reveal its latest car. The new Forester is expected to go on sale in the UK in 2024, priced from around £40,000.
The familiar upright five-door shape has been retained, but with slightly more modern head and tail-lights, a more vertical grille and a wider stance than before. Underneath, there’s an all-wheel-drive set-up, with an upgraded X-mode function and 221mm of ground clearance.
The big news, though, is the Forester’s first full-hybrid edition, also launching next year. In addition, Subaru CEO Atsushi Osaki announced the brand’s plans for four new EVs by 2026, with another four by 2028. These will sit alongside the Solterra, the maker’s only current full EV.
