Turning the lava lamp on in my bedroom, I went to the window to pull the curtains. Aged 10, it was nearly my bedtime – I had to get up early for school the next day. Nothing made Jessie Blodgett happier than musical theatre. At a young age, she’d started learning to play the piano. She loved singing, dancing and acting, and dreamt of a future in music.
