Currently Scott has two Ferrari F355s, a 456, that Challenge Stradale and three 308s. Two of them are QVs, one is a GTS, two of them ‘need a bit of work’. There’s also a 1969 Porsche 911T, to which he was about to refit a pair of rebuilt original-spec triple-choke Zenith carburettors after our photoshoot.
But his garage has also been home to a Porsche 911S plus, when he was just 20, a bright green 912. ‘It had an MoT but it was a deathtrap. It sat in the garden and a tree grew through it – I never finished it. My mum made me sell it.’ And, of course, other Ferraris: a 348 Spider, another 355 Spider, a 360 Spider, a kit-car replica of a Dino and a Testarossa…
