Purism, the company creating the Librem 5 smartphone that runs PureOS, has launched a website (https://puri.sm/fund-your-app), enabling future owners of the handset to vote for which apps they’d like to help develop for the phone, along with an option to donate money for the development as well.
The idea is that Purism can gain an idea of what apps users want to see, and prioritise its work accordingly, while Librem 5 owners get to have a say on what apps, including popular ones such as Uber, Waze and Google Maps, they want on the smartphone. Win, win, right?
