SHRINKING profit margins and stricter emissions rules have helped slash the once-thriving city-car class to just a handful of models. The Peugeot 108, Citroen C1, Vauxhall Viva, Skoda Citigo and, most recently, Volkswagen up! have all vanished from the UK’s new-car showrooms.
