PEUGEOT’S Paris stand was dominated by the new 408, but the French brand’s boss, Linda Jackson, used the event to reveal plans for a fresh concept car.
Called Inception, and due before the end of this year, the new creation will show how Peugeots will evolve as they switch onto the all-electric platforms being developed by parent group Stellantis. Jackson confirmed to Auto Express that the car will “project the values of the brand”, while admitting that it could mark a shift away from the existing CMP and EMP2 platforms, towards the new STLA architectures.
Jackson also revealed that Inception’s cabin will reveal a further development of Peugeot’s i-Cockpit layout, where the instruments are viewed above a smaller, lower steering wheel, instead of through it.
