ANGER MANAGEMENT
I taught my three-year-old, Nick, to count to ten when he started to get angry, which was becoming a more and more frequent problem. It wasn’t long before I had an occasion to remind him, “Count to ten, Nick. Count to ten!” So he started: “One, two, three,” and so on, until he ended with “... eleven, twelve.” It was quiet for a few seconds while I looked at him and he looked at me. Then, with a knowing expression and a nod of his head, he very seriously said, “Some people need to count to twelve.”
