THE Mazda MX-5 has used the same rear-drive, soft-top formula since it was introduced in 1989 – but a new concept car set to be revealed at the Tokyo Motor Show could provide us with our first glimpse at the iconic roadster’s future.
The concept, teased in a single darkened image, below, is likely to build on the Mazda Vision Study shown in November last year. Admittedly, there’s not a lot to go on, with the teaser showing little more than a set of circular tail-lights, and illuminated bold lettering.
However, that’s enough for us to suspect that the concept is a complete car, unlike last year’s Vision Study, which was digital only – shown as part of the brand’s strategy for the rest of the decade, which focused…
