This summer is a busy one for MG and Triumph enthusiasts, as both marques celebrate their 100th anniversary this year. As we go to press, a momentous coalition of MG clubs are getting ready to celebrate the centenary of their cherished marque at Gaydon’s British Motor Museum. Scheduled for May 27, the event promises a timeline display of 100 MGs including the 1925 ‘Old Number One’, the inspiration for the MG sports car.
On June 10-11, Silverstone will thunder to the combined voices of MG and Triumph tailpipes for MG & Triumph 100. This year’s combined celebration involves traders, an autojumble, live music, a live arena and competitions on the full GP circuit. One hundred vehicles from each marque have signed up to form complete timelines. Tickets at mgtriumph.co.uk.
