When the Klopf Architecture team was brought onto the project, this Eichler was worn and in need of help. One of the biggest concerns was the need for a new roof on the original structure. “The additions that had been put on in the 1960s weren’t engineered for seismic loads, and they were built over patio slabs without proper foundations or wall construction,” John Klopf, AIA, principal of Klopf Architecture, says.
