THERE’S a new all-electric small SUV from Skoda joining the fray towards the end of this year and it’s due to be called the Elroq. We’ve already driven a prototype (Issue 1,838), and can now share the first image of its interior, which Skoda claims follows its ‘Modern Solid’ design language.
The new car will come with a variety of ‘Design Selections’: Studio, Loft, Lodge, and Suite. Each has its own mix of colours and materials, with Skoda prioritising the use of recycled materials. For instance, Loft uses ‘Recytitan’, a material that comprises 78 per cent recycled PET (polyethylene terephthalate) and, for the first time in any Skoda vehicle, recycled clothing.
