GEELY, THE CHINESE firm that owns LEVC, Lotus, Polestar, Volvo and more, is bringing its eponymous car brand to the UK.
The first model sold here will be the EX5, an electric crossover pitched against the Skoda Elroq, Kia EV3 and Renault Megane.
UK specifications have yet to be confirmed, but Geely said the EX5 is being assessed by Hethelbased Lotus Engineering to evaluate whether it requires retuning for European roads.
In other markets, the EX5 is offered with a choice of 49.5kWh and 60.2kWh batteries, with the latter getting a WLTP range of up to 264 miles. It has a single front-mounted motor that puts out 215bhp, for a 0-62mph time of 6.9sec.
Inside, the EX5 seats five and features a 15.4in infotainment touchscreen.
