OFFSET has historically attracted a younger, sparkier crowd than its peers, which sometimes teeter on the serious/dry side of things. Over the years it’s attracted speakers across graphic design, photography, animation, illustration, film and more, including Massimo Vignelli, Sir Peter Blake, Paula Scher, David Carson, Milton Glaser, Shepard Fairey, Tomi Ungerer and Louise Fili.
Yet what makes it feel a lot more fun and friendly than most is perhaps down to the sense of openness between audience and speakers. The festival site’s layout offers easy interaction with your design heroes, and the organisers’ ability to throw a brilliant party means you’ll likely be drinking with them at some point anyway.
