From the oversized fabric chandelier, vivid emerald green tiles in the open kitchen underneath the skylight, and an eclectic mix of curios, flowers and botanicals, Rishi Naleendra’s new venture with general manager Gareth Burnett, Cloudstreet is bigger, glossier and more dramatic than Cheek by Jowl, his now-defunct restaurant, could ever be. The 40-seater restaurant, which includes 12 chef's table-style counter seats and a private dining room, champions ingredient-driven cuisine that takes influences from disparate cultures. Through either a five-course lunch ($118/person) or seven-course dinner ($198/person), experience Naleendra's culinary philosophy through dishes like Coffin Bay oysters with coconut milk, finger lime and betel leaf oil, and a meticulously plated venison tartare with cashews and fermented plum.
