Global momentum behind Wi-Fi 6E is building fast. A number of countries and territories have released or are preparing to release the 6GHz spectrum. The UK, Chile, South Korea, and the United Arab Emirates are on the list of early adopters who have already freed up airspace. Meanwhile, the likes of Brazil, Canada, Mexico, Peru, Taiwan, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Myanmar, and Jordan have begun the process of allocating spectrum.
However, not all Wi-Fi 6E implementations will be equal. For instance, the UK’s regulatory body Ofcom has only unlocked 500MHz of new spectrum, specifically 5,925MHz to 6,425MHz.
