WE LIVE IN AN AGE OF ‘LIKE’. LOGGING ON TO FACEBOOK, YOU’RE IMMEDIATELY EXPOSED TO A TORRENT OF THINGS YOU NEED TO POTENTIALLY EVALUATE OR LIKE. Pressing ‘Like’ could seem like a cop-out, because you’re not saying something more, not explaining why you like something. But, at the same time, there’s such a flood of information and we’re consuming it so quickly that it’s really the perfect response. It’s a little bit non-committal – you’re not saying it’s the best thing you’ve ever seen or the worst thing. I wonder if the ocean of ‘Like’ swamps the capacity for love.
