Let’s be clear: We did not plan this. It’s no accident that actress and producer Zoey Deutch, 26, is following in her family’s vocational footsteps. Her father is director Howard Deutch, who met her mother, famed actress Lea Thompson, when she starred in his 1987 film, Some Kind of Wonderful. I love all animals, but there’s something special about parrots. My grandmother had two of them: a sophisticated gray one that lived in her sitting room, and a cheap old bird in the pantry named Polly. How did you meet Tate? When I was 18, I had been living in New York for about a year and traveling constantly for work. It was really lonely, so I started thinking about getting a dog.
