THE case against the wife of a Phoenix pastor, who is accused of stealing more than R4 million from her former employer, will continue in the Pinetown Magistrates Court next year.
Lingasperi Madurai, 55, together with her co-accused, Senamile Mthabela, Zanab Bibi Cassim, Mehmood Nizaam Cassim and Manormoney Archari, have been charged with fraud or alternatively theft.
Madurai, is also charged with money-laundering, along with her husband, Dhanapalan Madurai.
The accused, who are currently out on bail, appeared briefly in court last week.
In April this year, Lingasperi, a former HR Manager at Pinion and Adams (P&A) Fabricators, a sheet metal fabrication company situated in Pinetown, was arrested and charged with fraud and money-laundering.
