Derived from cannabis, the compound affects the body’s endocannabinoid system, which plays a role in pain sensation and stress response, says Naomi Feuer, M.D., a neurologist in New York City. I was inspired by the story on page 98, “The Beauty Dare.” In it, we asked 27 influential women and men to try one of three lipsticks for a day, all shades that were either outside their comfort zone or simply something they’d never worn before, and report back.
