Losing Earth

In August 2018, The New York Times published a ground-breaking article called “Losing Earth: The Decade We Almost Stopped Climate Change”. The 30 000-word piece was the result of an extensive research project that lasted 18 months, and it focused on a group of American scientists, activists and politicians who worked tirelessly between 1979 and 1989 to attempt to prevent a climate change catastrophe.
The author of the article, Nathaniel Rich, became an influential voice in the global climate change debate, almost overnight. The reaction to his research was overwhelming; a documentary TV series about him is currently in production.
