Stukey gets its stability from rugged construction and a three-leg design. The tops are made from 0.75-inch, 13-laminate, cabinet-grade, exterior birch plywood. The tops are bolted to a large, triangular frame that is constructed with 2-by-1.5-by-0.125-inch angle iron. Stukey uses 1.5-inch schedule 40 steel pipe for legs. Rather than relying on pipe threads, which will wear and strip out, Stukey uses 0.5-inch steel bolts to mount the legs to the frame. The frame encompasses a floating nut plate/socket/collar arrangement, which allows for a quick, no-tool setup and a rock-solid lock-up between the legs and frame.
