RESEARCHERS FROM THE University of Cambridge have developed a way of forming graphene into a superconductor. In a report called Graphene’s Sleeping Superconductivity Awakens, the scientists claim a great graphene leap forward. They explain that they have found a way to trigger the “innate, but previously hidden, ability of graphene” to act as a superconductor. This means that it can be made to carry an electrical current with zero resistance. Dr Jason Robinson, fellow at St John’s College, University of Cambridge, explained: “It has long been postulated that, under the right conditions, graphene should undergo a superconducting transition, but can’t. THE FIX There are two issues to fix. First, you have to remove all the junk you don’t want; second, you have to stop Windows from suggesting or automatically pushing more junk to your computer. We’ll tackle the latter first. To stop Windows from installing apps on your computer automatically, you need to disable automatic updates. This means that you will have to update apps manually, which isn’t as secure. This is a good reason why Microsoft shouldn’t install junk on a computer without the user’s permission, so that we can all use automatic updates with confidence. The Pi 3 is the fastest model available, however, and handles even most N64 games. It also has built-in Wi-Fi, which helps when updating the software and installing new games. Most of the other hardware required is standard stuff: a case, a 2A power supply, a 16GB microSD card and any USB gamepad you might have lying around.
