“The homeowners embarked on this renovation hoping to revive their 1890s house and to inject some personal style into the home. Above all, the kitchen needed to be functional, practical and easy to maintain. One of its main faults was that it was enclosed. During the renovation, the room was opened up to integrate seamlessly with the nearby living area, creating a space perfect for both entertaining and family living. The homeowners really loved the Carrara marble benchtop in the former kitchen, but it was a bit worn so we removed it from the benchtop and used it strategically in other parts of the space. Surrounded by vineyards, the residence was the perfect home for the couple to replicate on their land on the Mornington Peninsula.
