If not for the arrangement of the cameras, the iPhone 13 would be nearly impossible to distinguish from the iPhone 12. There are other subtle differences—it’s a hair thicker, the volume and side buttons are lower, the notch is smaller, and the colors are a bit more subdued—but the main differentiator is the diagonal placement of the rear camera lenses. Like everything about the iPhone 13, that subtle change is more meaningful than it seems. You get the same wide and ultra-wide camera system as on the iPhone 12, but the diagonal placement is necessary to accommodate an advanced camera system. We live in a world where data about what you do is very valuable, and people who want this data constantly look for ways to collect it. Your email is one such resource, and it’s possible your emails are embedded with an image that’s practically invisible and can be used to track you. This can be a message sent from a massive company, a tiny firm using a mailing list service to manage its transmissions, or an individual using mail software designed to embed a tracking email. The Drop + THX Panda headphones are top-tier in overall sound, but distinguish themselves from the pack with absolutely the cleanest sub-bass reproduction I’ve heard. Wirelessly connected peripherals are a boon to the modern office, particularly when we’re working at home, and not dealing with cables helps with sanity and organization. Battery-powered mice, trackpads, and keyboards can function for several weeks to many months on a single full charge over USB or with rechargeable batteries. Bluetooth can be a useful technology for short-range connections, aka personal area networks. We use Bluetooth for fitness bands, earbuds and headphones, hotspot tethering, and input peripherals.
