If you’ve recently biked, taken a dance class, or simply walked through a parking lot to your car, you’ve used your hip flexors. Hoping to fit into your skinnies by September? You may want to put your money where your mouth is. Recent research from the Mayo Clinic found that dieters who received $20 a month for meeting a weight-loss goal (and consequently paid $20 if they failed to reach it) dropped more pounds and stuck to the program longer than those who weren’t given cash incentives and penalties.
